Security & Privacy

Security & Your Privacy.

At Accounting First, LLC, we handle your most sensitive financial information with the same level of care we use for our own. We utilize industry-leading technology and strict internal protocols to ensure your data remains private, secure, and compliant with professional standards.

SOC 2-Certified Portal AES-256 Encryption GLBA & IRS 7216 Compliant

Bank-Level Security

We have partnered with Financial Cents to provide a secure, SOC 2-certified environment for all client interactions.

Advanced Encryption

Your data is protected using AES-256 bit encryption at rest and TLS in transit. This is the same encryption standard used by major banks and the federal government.

Passwordless Access

To protect you from password fatigue and credential theft, our portal uses Magic Link technology. You access your account via a secure, one-time link sent directly to your verified email — ensuring only you can enter your portal.

Secure Infrastructure

Our systems are hosted on world-class servers (AWS and DigitalOcean) that feature 24/7 monitoring and physical security.

How We Handle Your Documents

To maintain the highest security standards, we follow a Portal-First policy:

1

Secure Uploads

Please use the Client Portal button at the top of our website for all document transfers.

2

No Sensitive Emails

We kindly ask that you never email Social Security Numbers, bank statements, or tax returns directly. Standard email is not secure; our portal is.

3

Controlled Access

Within our firm, access to your files is restricted strictly to the professionals working on your engagement.
